Sourav Ganguly: T-20 County performance at Northamptonshire 2006

Before IPL T-20, Sourav Ganguly played at County level at his six weeks stint at Northamptonshire. Though his performance was patchy at 4 days match, he did quite well in two ODIs in bat, maintaining his international average of 40 and in nine T-20 games, his performance in bat was quite comparable with IPL performance with 220 runs with an average of 27.50 and strike rate 103.77-almost run a ball (mind the English weather where ball swings a lot).
The bowling was even better with a total scalp of 11 wickets with economy rate of 8 in 31 overs.

Now after knowing his recent astounding performance at DLF IPL tournament (Read the Sourav performance at IPL 2008 at news section) as an all rounder, what is your take on whole issue of Senior and junior?
Don't you feel that only performance matters and nothing else?
Don't you feel that nefarious politics in Indian cricket had actually stopped a great all rounder from shorter version of cricket?
