The launch of 'Knight Riders' had all the glamour and glitz of a typical Bollywood release - lavish spending, big sponsors, tall names, lights, action, glamour and of course the man himself, Shah Rukh Khan with his team.

'Knight Riders' - what the Kolkata Team will be called. It depicts the strength of the warriors (cricketers) geared up to battle it out on the pitch. Black and gold is used for the entire conceptual design of the team, wherein Black symbolises 'Kaali Maa' (Goddess Durga) and gold epitomizes 'victory' and power of optimism.

The theme song for the team is 'Korbo, lorbo, jitbo, re...' is in Bengali language, which means 'do it, fight and win'. The song has been created by the musical duo - Vishal-Shekhar and it has been sung by Vishal. An official Knight Riders' album will be launched soon for the availability of common man. The team's lucky mascot is Hoog Lee which SRK said is better than all the Lees put together including Bret Lee and Bruce Lee.

The cricket kit has been designed by sports gear giant Reebok. The formal attire would be designed by none other than renowned Manish Malhotra.

Captain of the Knight Riders, Sourav Ganguly talked about teams' strategy. "We need to sit down with John and work it out together".

When asked about advertisements and further promotion of the team, Shah Rukh replied, "I will do the ads and let the team concentrate on cricket".

If you are Shah Rukh Khan, it can't be anything but glamourous. And as expected the launch of the 'Knight Riders' had all the razzmatazz of lights, camera and action The battle goes beyond cricket now and it will only get better when the IPL league will witness the most stylized cricket teams ever.
