We two school friends are another face in the crowd. Saptarshi and Angshuman are cricket lovers like you .We were enjoying a vanilla life like many others. But 14 ^th Dec 2005 entirely changed our motivational level at least for the time being.

Yes, 14^th Dec, 2005 --- a black day in Indian cricket when India's most successful cricket captain Sourav Ganguly was shown a humiliating ouster from Indian squad in the 3 rd test in Ahmedabad against Sri Lanka despite his good contribution in both the innings at Kotla, Delhi test .Yes, Sourav was axed without any cricketing reason. The manner and modus operandi irked indeed all-true cricket lovers like you and me. Kolkata exploded obviously to the humiliation of her son of the soil. And support to Kolkatan came from all corners of India.

That day we two also wanted to protest vehemently. But we wanted that through such a medium where protest will be long lasting and will unite cricket fraternity irrespective of distance and time zone. We wanted that rest of the cricket-loving world could view and vouch for our protest through a global platform. Result?

Dream comes true

One of us had a dream of becoming journalist where as other one dreamt of having a website of his own. Two dreams confluence into a reality --- www.welovesourav.com.

We observed that last three months, how badly a section of media and hate sites vilified relentlessly Sourav Ganguly. Their deliberate, 'engineered' facts and stories definitely inflicted pain to all true cricket lovers. Finally the D –day of 14^th Dec came and we two thought – enough is enough. It's high time to stand up, protest and say – The King, you are nude! And protest vehemently against all odds – against all the 'jokers' who are doctoring public opinion every now and then. Hence we have come out with all hard facts and statistics to champion the cause of Sourav Ganguly. Because like you, we also believe that Indian cricket will experience Sourav mesmerism at least two three more years. Thank you Dada. Your scintillating illustrious cricketing career made our work much easier. 

We two

If one of us is a management graduate then the other one is an IT entrepreneur .We have no prior experience in developing a website--- quite amateurish in this new avatar, in deed. But we have passion, strong passion to call a spade a spade .Our single minded effort to develop this Sourav –site morphed into reality within 10 days. We had no option but to work long hours at night and at weekends after our daily rigmarole. We felt our bounden duty to stand behind Sourav if we really call us a true cricket lover irrespective of class, clan, creed and region.

We want support of all cricket lovers like you in developing this site in future. We want to make this site a good repository of information on Indian cricket and Sourav Ganguly – the pride of Indian cricket.
